Patsy Bradbury Memorial Event

Members who knew her are invited to a memorial event for Patsy Bradbury, who died in December. Patsy was a councillor from 1971 to 1982 and Mayor in 1972-3 and was a prominent member and supporter of the Society and many Islington causes. The event will include speeches in the council chamber and a chance for people to remember her more informally.

The following events have been posted until the autumn

The Building of Holy Trinity, Cloudesley Square

Dr Rebecca Preston will be talking about the building of the church and its subsequent history. This talk is the first of three deriving from the Tales from the Crypt project to explore the church’s past and contribute to its restoration. All are welcome.

Telling Tales

In the second of the three Tales from the Crypt talks, Dr Susan Skedd will be talking about retrieving the lives of the first residents of the Cloudesley Square district from the work of the project’s volunteers. Further information to follow.

Delivering a Project

In the third of the Tales from the Crypt talks, Rosie Fraser and Laura Moffatt will be talking about how to develop and deliver a grant funded project with community involvement, capital works and engagement with artists.
