Visit to Holy Trinity, Cloudesley Square

The Islington Society is able to offer a rare opportunity to visit Holy Trinity, Cloudesley Square, on Thursday 2 May. This church, built by Charles Barry around 1825, is a well-loved landmark, especially for its twin turrets modelled on the chapel of King’s College, Cambridge, but has fallen into acute disrepair in recent years.

In view of the dangerous state of the building, it will only be possible to view the church from the gallery, where a talk about the church’s history and the plans for its restoration will be given over a glass of wine. A donation of £10 or more is requested from attenders.

The visit will begin at 6.00 pm and last approximately one hour. Numbers are strictly limited. If you wish to attend, please email info@islingtonsociety.org.uk.
